Tiffany Blue Sparkle Wedding at Immaculata and Westin San Diego

When Chio told me her wedding colors were Tiffany blue and silver, I knew we would get along. As you know, my silver desk is surrounded by Tiffany blue walls in my office. And when the couple selected the Immaculata parish on the USD campus for their ceremony, I was in love with them!

Perez_0171

The parish is so beautiful and grand that it doesn’t require much decor. The couple selected two all white floral arrangements to display on pedestals on either side of the altar.

The church pews were decorated with small white floral bouquets to line the main aisle. This parish truly is one of the most beautiful venues in our city.

After the traditional Catholic ceremony, the couple and their guests traveled downtown for their reception at the Westin San Diego.Perez_0570

At the Westin, guests were greeted with a “Something Blue” cocktail and silver wedding bell place cards, to keep with the color theme.Perez_0588Perez_0590

The ballroom sparkled with silver chiavari chairs, crushed taffeta linens in snow and silver rimmed charger plates. Pale blue uplights added pops of color along with the Tiffany blue napkins.Perez_0587Perez_0623

The couple selected two centerpieces for the tables. My favorites were these tall lily and orchid arrangements.

The sweetheart table wore a lavish silver sequin linen and a small bowl of white roses.Perez_0569

The all white wedding cake was adorned with silver sparkles and rhinestones and was topped by a silver carriage. Perez_0563         Perez_0709 Perez_1003

I do! …and then they rode the Roller Coaster!

Steph and Paul claim they have more fun than anyone. And their April wedding in San Diego proved just that! The day started with a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony at the historic Mission Basilica San Diego de Alcala. It was a special location, as the bride’s parents were married in the same church 35 years earlier.

All of the personal flowers, bouquets and boutonnieres, were created by the bride’s talented aunt. Steph selected succulents for their cool colors and textures and as a green alternative to cut flowers. All of the bouquets have since been planted in the yards of family and friends as a remembrance of the special day.

The photos, captured by Heather Elise of Heather Elise Photography were stunning and really captured the joy and love present that day.

Once the ceremony was complete, the entire wedding party took to Mission Beach to ride the iconic Giant Dipper Roller Coaster!

Next, the couple had a special Ceremony of Love on the private beach at the Bahia Hotel. This ceremony celebrated wedding customs from around the world, as Steph and Paul have travelled extensively and lived internationally. Travel-themed decor greeted the 170 guests who had travelled from across the world to celebrate with them.

A custom petal drop was created so the rose petals were released for the couple’s first kiss.

After the beach ceremony, the guests were treated to a party on board the William D. Evans sternwheeler. Each dinner table was named for a country the couple had visited and included framed wedding customs from that country. Bottles of wine or beer from the countries held postcard sized flags to indicate the table name.bahia%20wedding%20photography-35-L[1]

The cake was covered with passport stamps to continue the travel theme. The knife used to cut the cake was a family heirloom and the lace tablecloth on the cake table belonged to the bride’s grandmother.

The guestbook was a quilt lovingly created by the bride’s mother.

The guests danced for hours to the music played by San Diego DJ & Video. Truly a fun day filled with family and friends. Congratulations to Steph and Paul!

Rancho Santa Fe Wedding at The Crosby Club

Meghan and Clint were married at a sunset ceremony at The Crosby Club in Rancho Santa Fe. The bride selected romantic blush colors to compliment the watermelon colored bridesmaid dresses.

The ceremony was decorated with delicate baby’s breath – it was hung in the ivy above the ceremony, featured in vases on either side of the ceremony and in dainty glass jars hung from shepherds hooks lining the aisle.

The cocktail hour was held in the clubhouse courtyard. Willow branches, flowers and candles created a rustic backdrop for the guest book and escort card tables.

The reception was inside the ballroom glowing with candle light and amber uplights. A dirt bike groom’s cake surprised the groom! Tables were dressed with two different centerpieces – one featured lanterns and blush flowers and the other had the same flowers on drift wood branches.
